About

I've had the priviledge to work in web and software development for more than ten years. During that time, I've contributed to the production of several software titles, hundreds of websites and myriad other [related] collateral assets. These items were created for a disparate array of clients that represent a broad cross-section of business and industry.

My areas of expertise are design, computer graphics and technical development. I excel in user experience design for web and software applications as well as the design and development of commercial web sites.

I work with solid technologies, like: PHP, XML and CSS. I use these and other proven technologies to build cool stuff for the Interwebs.

The goal of this project was to create a custom page that is populated by data from my Twitter RSS feed. A [server-side] script parses the XML and converts it into a standard web page. Although there are [client-side] scripts that do this, converting it on the server allows me to return plain HTML that is 'friendly' to search engines and doesn't require other technologies (i.e. Javascript).

The Tell-Tale Heart

First published in 1843, The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe is a classic of the Gothic fiction genre and widely considered to be one of Poe's most famous short stories. My adaptation was an exercise in web design which gave me the opportunity to revisit a classic horror story—just in time for Halloween. Turn down the lights and peer into the soul of a madman.
